"Time is the substance I am made of. It is the Fire that consumes me. And I am that Fire."

 At the centre of this design stands Kali. Not merely the goddess of destruction, but the force that exists beyond creation and destruction themselves.

Kali represents Time, Death, Transformation, and the dissolution of the ego. She destroys not because destruction is her purpose, but because everything that is created must eventually change, decay, and return.

Her presence in this design is deliberately unsettling. She carries the things we fear: death, violence, impermanence, the loss of identity. Yet she also represents liberation.

 What remains when everything we believed ourselves to be has been stripped away?

The words come from Jorge Luis Borges, one of the great literary minds of the twentieth century, whose A New Refutation of Time explores the unsettling possibility that time may not be something moving around us, but something inseparable from our existence.

 Borges gives the thought its language. Kali gives it form. One speaks of time consuming us. The other embodies the force that consumes all things.

And somewhere between them lies Transcendence. Not escaping time. Not defeating death.

But recognising that the fire consuming you is also the substance from which you were made.
