Frequency 004: Attachment

Attachment is rarely about the person. It is about the need we attach to them.004 explores the darker side of attachment: obsession disguised as affection, possession disguised as protection, and the quiet conviction that someone else is necessary for us to feel whole.

Featuring Joe Goldberg as its visual subject, the design draws from the unsettling duality of his character: the charming face we present to the world and the darker self hidden beneath it. The fractured red-and-white mask represents that split between desire and delusion, intimacy and control.

At the centre sits the line: “Admit it. You need ME.” Because attachment has a peculiar way of turning want into need.
