FREQUENCY 005 — SOLITUDE

Solitude is the price of becoming someone who cannot afford to look away. Batman is not alone because there is nobody around him. He is alone because he has chosen a life that increasingly separates him from the people he could have been close to. He built a symbol out of his own wound. The mask became a boundary. The darkness became familiar. The mission became an excuse to keep moving.

And somewhere along the way, Bruce Wayne stopped asking whether he was protecting himself from Gotham, or protecting Gotham from what he might become if he ever stopped. 

Everyone has one. A point where pain stops being something that happened to you and becomes something that starts defining you. 

Batman did not blink. And perhaps that is his greatest strength. Or his greatest tragedy. 

"There is a difference between you and me. We both looked into the abyss, but when it looked back at us, you blinked.”
